This is a stretch of the White River that is on a private ranch in northwest Colorado. The ranch hand and I rode snowmobiles over three to four feet of snow for a few miles to get to this spot. I did a couple plein air paintings and the sun was so warm that our snow machines could barely get us back we kept sinking. The only way to stay on top was to go full throttle all the way.
