“The Upward Journey” Glacier National Park, Montana
I encountered these magnificent animals while painting on Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. In the fall their coats are pure white and the shaggy look of summer is gone. The concept of this painting is a family, and how they all have to work together to succeed. Sometimes one will be in the sun and others will be in the symbolic shadow, but we all pull together. I purposely put the female in the lead as she often sets the tone for the family.
