Hay bales, especially the ones that have some character like these are a reminder of simpler times. Now-a-days the bales are wrapped to tight in fabric that they look like they are make out of plastic. The day after this rancher rolled these bales his tractor literally burned up in his field, so sadly this will be the last of the old fashioned bales at this ranch. Glad that I got the opportunity to paint them.
