Crystal Clear, Sylvan Lake

Crystal Clear, Sylvan Lake

Edition of 50 | 30″ x 40″ | Giclee I was on a trip to Yellowstone National Park with my son Luke who was about 8 at the time. We discovered this lake near the north shore of Yellowstone lake and I was mesmerized by how the water was gin clear. High mountain lakes will always have fallen logs in the water. The challenge is to give the illusion of those logs going under the water and into the depths of the lake.

Deep Pool, Taylor River

Deep Pool, Taylor River

Edition of 50 | 30″ x 40″ | Giclee My son Wyatt and I are avid fly fishermen and we were fishing this stretch of the Taylor River near Crested Butte, Colorado when I rested on this rock to watch him cast to this fish that kept rising in the calm water behind the rock. End of the Valley

End of the Valley

Edition of 50 | 30″ x 40″ | Giclee This is a beautiful stretch of the White River on the private YZ Ranch near Meeker, CO. I am fortunate to have access to this property, it is pristine and adjoins the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, so provides some of the most unspoiled river views in Colorado. While I was painting the plain-air study for this painting out in the meadow, a worker came of nowhere and approached me. I explained that I was “working”. He replied, “You have life figured out!” How grateful I...
